Not to be outdone: My new favorite talk show host hands down ...

Buck is a breath of fresh air in today's talk industry. No nonsense, says it like it is, doesn't give a crap if you don't like it, an absolute cut up, and at the same time an all around congenial and likable guy. A seemingly impossible combination but it's true. Buck seems to be a very down to earth man who has seen a lot in his career in intelligence and has made a truly remarkable transition into the world of news and now talk radio.

Somehow you get the sense that underneath all the boyish, jovial, and witty exterior, there is an undercurrent of mystery that one is almost hesitant to know. Sort of a 'I wonder just what exactly Buck did in his intelligence days?'. There's a devilish charm to be sure as not only is he one of the guys, but the ladies love him too.

In my opinion, he's making radio fame, with a bad ass name: Buck Sexton.
Plus, the chicks dig him. Seriously.
Where did everyone go? Can we walk on through the smoke screens being spewed forth and get back to the matters at hand? There is new information coming in from several fronts on the IRS, the NSA, and the DOJ. Where you ask? Read your favorite news source. Look down in the bottom / back pages if it's one of the more mainstream sources. If you don't find it there then try one of the regular standard sources like Drudge or The Blaze.

The point is, we need to stay on task here. No matter what 'side' you are on, we are all on the same team. The American Team. Just taking the IRS scandal for a single instance - if they can target any one group of people then get it through your head - they can target any other person or persons they desire and make their lives miserable. Why bother even trying to start up an organization if word gets out it is such a horrible, dreadful process right? Intimidation tactics of the worst kind. The Government against its own people kind.

Laugh out loud at the 'poor conservatives' if you like but what happens when the Republicans garner the majority again? It will happen eventually, regardless of how impossible or unlikely it may seem it will eventually happen that Democrats will not always be in charge. Then what? The people that hold the reigns of the IRS, the DOJ, the NSA, the EPA, the FDA, etc. well... I guess you better not try ginning up an anti-establishment group right? Might be a royal pain for you and those you got to donate to your cause.

Just the one tiny example above is the absolute proof that not only do we need to get back on track and resolve the several issues at hand, put the people in prison that need to be, let go the people that need to be fired; we also need to start slimming down the power structure and the direct access to it by those at the top. No one person or group of people should have the ability to 'make life miserable' for another group of people just for personal gain or self-interest. It breeds more and more fledgling authorities that are granted 'police powers', etc.

Get on the phone and scream at your representatives, write articles, send emails, keep the engine running. We have to keep the focus on the important matters at hand or like always, they will do their best to sweep it under the 'rug' of some other incident going on in the world. Keep the spotlight on *them* not us. It's easy to point at someone and say 'yeah well they're a hate monger!' when you're the one that's in trouble and need a way to duck out of sight.

Although my more mundane interests are more along the line of tech support, minecraft, fishing, etc. I think it is time to start delving into other areas of interest that concern my country. The United States of America. My first post is going to center around an individual that has high praise, horrid hatred, and everything in between. Mr. Glenn Beck.

Let's start out by getting rid of the constant drivel from both sides of the argument and look at the facts of any given situation. The most simple way is to take a look or listen to what the person of interest has stated about their purpose over time.

After watching and listening to over a year's worth of programming from Glenn Beck's radio and TV programs I personally can draw the following conclusion right off the bat. Mr. Beck is first and foremost an outstanding entrepreneur. From the time he left FOX to his current state of affairs he has managed to create a growing media company, research and development company, charity foundations, and more. Full schedule radio programs. A Television network that is now widely available on satellite and cable networks. It is interesting to see what one man that has surrounded himself with like minded people has been able to accomplish.

Now for the meat of the matter: Glenn Beck seems to be the recipient of all sorts of negative review and what interests me most about this is reading through the comments section of his online news site The Blaze.  While one would expect the 'left' and the 'main stream media' to be critical or even denigrating, especially as Glenn heads down a more 'God-centric' path, it is almost comical to see how the religious side of the population is coming out against Glenn as well. One would think that the unifying message that Mr. Beck seems to send to all faiths to join together is not sitting well with many. Another is that although Glenn is performing overwhelming events to bring attention to American History and God as he sees it, it is not 'Godly' enough for them. Somehow Glenn is failing both sides although he continues to grow as a company and a man which in turn seems to infuriate everyone all the more.

In my opinion, Glenn Beck seems to be a smart businessman, who has strong beliefs and applies them to his business model. Although he is in fact bent on changing the world, he constantly reminds us that he is an entertainer and storyteller. Through those talents he is attempting to restore factual histories and in his mind, a need for faith in God. Translation for the secular is a need for restoration of morals and values toward one another as handed down from the forefathers of our nation. Whether any of us agree with him or not; influential and more importantly, good people are gravitating toward him. Personally, I hope that continues because my countrymen and women could use more of that.

We the people need to shed our judgmental egos and stop to think about what others are trying to tell us. Have a conversation instead of a rant. I believe the conversations that most changed me were the ones I watched between Glenn, Penn Jillette  and others that may have been present on some occasions. When any man can stop and have a discussion who he adamantly disagrees with, but still have a meaningful outcome? That man gains a lot of respect from me. For I have found few (I so appreciate those few) that were willing to have an intelligent conversation rather than a one sided argument.

So I say thank you Mr. Beck for keeping an open mind. Although we don't always agree, I am a fan if for nothing else - I have sure learned a lot of American History that I have indeed fact checked that I never knew before.
